Quickstart

1. Create a key

Sign in to Dreamtune and open API keys. Select Tools access for this guide and save the key when it appears. For paid operations, add credit in Usage & billing. A key belongs to the workspace that created it. See authentication.

2. Install

Use Node.js 22.20 or later. In your application:

npm install @dreamtune/sdk

For terminal commands:

npm install --global @dreamtune/sdk

3. Configure your connection

Supply your own production key through your application’s secret settings. The production API origin is https://dreamtune-api.fly.dev. For a PowerShell terminal, set these process variables. Replace the example key:

$env:DREAMTUNE_API_ORIGIN = "https://dreamtune-api.fly.dev"
$env:DREAMTUNE_API_KEY = "YOUR_DREAMTUNE_API_KEY"
$env:DREAMTUNE_REQUEST_TIMEOUT_MS = "60000"

The timeout is your chosen request deadline in milliseconds. A deadline stops waiting; accepted upstream work can continue. Keep credentials outside source control and browser bundles.

4. Discover tools

dreamtune tools list --q search

This lists matching tool identifiers. It does not execute a paid tool. Inspect a selected tool’s schema before running it; see tools.
