Hosted connection

This is the human setup guide. The server address below is a machine endpoint: opening it in a browser may return JSON or a protocol error. Add it in your agent’s MCP settings instead. For client-specific instructions, use the coding-agent directory. Use an MCP client that supports Streamable HTTP and custom request headers: Save the key in your client’s protected credential settings. Configuration syntax varies by client. Hosted MCP uses your key directly; it does not provide browser OAuth login. Choose local MCP if your client cannot supply the required header.

Local connection

See the complete local setup for environment configuration, Windows command resolution, startup checks and GPU key management. Install the CLI:
A client that accepts this stdio configuration can launch Dreamtune with:
Supply DREAMTUNE_API_KEY, DREAMTUNE_API_ORIGIN and DREAMTUNE_REQUEST_TIMEOUT_MS to that process through your client’s environment settings. Environment inheritance differs between clients. The package also provides the dreamtune-mcp executable.

What the agent can do

The server exposes catalog discovery and inspection, tool runs, model runs, compute jobs and observability operations. Your key’s scopes and workspace ownership are checked for each operation. List the local tool definitions without executing a paid operation:
A model choosing a tool does not grant additional permissions. Only authorize the operations and spending your task requires.

GPU access

Hosted compute creation requires an explicit SSH public key. Use the CLI’s compute prepare workflow to prepare local access first. The hosted server cannot save a private key on your computer. See compute.
