Use compute:read and compute:run access. GPU rentals consume wallet credit while running. Disconnecting an SSH session does not stop the machine.

Discover capacity

Select an available instance type and region from the returned catalog.

Configure local access

Install OpenSSH. Set a private state directory outside your repository and the SSH username required by the selected GPU image. For an Ubuntu image in PowerShell:
The CLI saves local launch references and SSH keys in that directory. Only the public key is sent to Dreamtune. Protect and retain the directory to reconnect.

Start a rental

This starts paid compute. Choose a stable name for that intended rental. Repeating identical named input reuses its saved launch reference; use a new name only when you intend to rent another machine.

Check, connect and stop

Wait until the job is running with an IP before connecting. Stop explicitly when finished and inspect the job until termination is confirmed. Wallet credit and key limits also constrain the rental; do not rely on closing your terminal.

SDK and hosted MCP

client.compute.createJob takes instanceType, region, publicKey and idempotencyKey. It accepts an SSH public key, never a private key. For hosted MCP, use dreamtune compute prepare with name, type and region to prepare access without renting. Send those public launch inputs through create_compute_job. Afterward, dreamtune compute ssh YOUR_JOB_ID --name my-gpu-job links the returned job to its local access state. Local SDK access management is available through LocalComputeClient from @dreamtune/sdk/node. See the package types for the explicit configuration.
