# CLI command reference

> Commands, required arguments, request files and recovery for the Dreamtune CLI.

## Installation

```sh theme={null}
npm install --global @dreamtune/sdk
dreamtune --help
```

Configure the three required [environment variables](/reference/environment).
Commands print JSON. Save input files and idempotency keys. Use --help on each
command for your installed package's exact options.

## Tools

| Command after dreamtune | Input | Purpose |
| - | - | - |
| tools list | Optional --q, --cursor, --limit | Discover |
| tools inspect | --provider, --endpoint | Read schema |
| tools run | --file, --idempotency-key | Execute input envelope |
| tools runs | — | List recent runs |
| tools get | Run ID | Read saved run |
| tools refresh | Run ID | Refresh upstream status |

The run file contains provider, endpoint and input. input is the inspected body/queryParams/pathParams envelope.

## Models

| Command after dreamtune | Input | Purpose |
| - | - | - |
| models limits | — | Read request limits |
| models run | --file, --idempotency-key | Submit model/messages/maxOutputTokens and optional function settings |
| models runs | — | List runs |
| models get | Run ID | Recover state/output |
| models free-chat | --file | Separate development-only model/prompt API |

Use model runs in production. A timeout can follow successful execution; read
saved state before creating another request.

## Compute

| Command after dreamtune | Input | Purpose |
| - | - | - |
| compute catalog | — | Read availability |
| compute prepare | --name, --type, --region | Prepare SSH access without rental |
| compute start | --name, --type, --region | Start/resume named launch |
| compute jobs | --limit, optional --cursor | Paginated history |
| compute get | Job ID | Read status/usage |
| compute connection | Job ID, optional --name | Read SSH arguments |
| compute ssh | Job ID, optional --name, --command | Open SSH or run selected command |
| compute notebook | Job ID | Read private notebook URL |
| compute stop | Job ID | Terminate and settle |

Configure local state and SSH-user settings before local access. Closing the
terminal does not stop a rental. See [GPU access](/guides/gpu-access).

## Observability

| Command after dreamtune | Input |
| - | - |
| observability traces | --file with category/from/to and optional cursor/requestId |
| observability list | --page, optional --session, --account |
| observability sessions / users / prompts | --page |
| observability content | Request ID, optional --cursor |
| observability scores | Request ID |
| observability feedback | Request ID, --value 0 or 1, --comment |
| observability prompt-create | --file with definition |
| observability prompt-get | Name, --file with exact version or label |
| observability prompt-compile | Name, --file with selector/variables/placeholders |
| observability prompt-labels | Name, --file with version/labels |

Create-prompt makes a new version on each successful creation. Feedback is an
explicit application assessment, not automatically collected end-user feedback.

## MCP, skills and local workflows

```sh theme={null}
dreamtune mcp tools
dreamtune mcp call model_limits --file arguments.json
dreamtune skills list
dreamtune skills install all --directory ./agent-skills
dreamtune research --file research.json
dreamtune agent --file agent.json
```

Use {} in arguments.json for model\_limits. Bare dreamtune mcp starts stdio and
waits for protocol input; it is not an interactive chat.

See [research](/tutorials/research-agent), [tool agent](/tutorials/tool-calling-agent)
and [MCP tools](/reference/mcp-tools).
