# Terminal CLI

> Discover services, run requests and read results from your terminal.

## Install and configure

```sh theme={null}
npm install --global @dreamtune/sdk
dreamtune --help
```

Configure `DREAMTUNE_API_KEY`, `DREAMTUNE_API_ORIGIN` and
`DREAMTUNE_REQUEST_TIMEOUT_MS` using the [quickstart](/quickstart). Help and skill
installation work without a key. API commands require those settings.

## Discover and read

```sh theme={null}
dreamtune tools list --q search
dreamtune models limits
dreamtune models runs
dreamtune compute catalog
dreamtune observability list --page 1
```

Use each command group's `--help` for its options:

```sh theme={null}
dreamtune tools --help
dreamtune models --help
dreamtune compute --help
dreamtune observability --help
```

## Submit a request

Tool and model commands read a JSON payload from a file. The idempotency key is a
separate argument. Persist it before submission and reuse it only for identical
input.

```sh theme={null}
dreamtune models run --file model-request.json --idempotency-key YOUR_PERSISTED_REQUEST_KEY
dreamtune models get YOUR_RUN_ID
```

See [models](/models) and [tools](/tools) for file contents. Execution may spend
wallet credit. Reading a returned run ID lets you recover its saved result.

## Command output

Successful API commands print JSON to stdout. Failures print redacted errors to
stderr and exit nonzero. Commands do not automatically choose another provider,
retry failed work or poll indefinitely.

`dreamtune research` and `dreamtune agent` run local workflows through MCP. Consult
their `--help` and the published SDK README before preparing their explicit model,
tool bindings, persisted request keys and operation budgets.
